Pit bulls in San Antonio: bullies or breeds of love?
Pit bulls in San Antonio: bullies or breeds of love?
by KENS 5 Staff Posted on October 25, 2010 at 7:03 AM SAN ANTONIO -- As a breed, pit bulls get their share of negative attention. But not every pit bull is dangerous. That's the message of one San Antonio group that took part in the national pit bull awareness day. The San Antonio Big Dawgs group hosted a celebration Sunday of the bully breed, as it's known. Other animal care groups worked with them to show that pit bulls, when properly trained, can be as gentle as poodles. "The bottom line is that there is a negative stereotype on the breed, yet they happen to be one of the most compassionate and loving breeds out there," said Matt Bennett of San Antonio Big Dawgs. "It's just the owners that aren't responsible that perpetuate the negative stereotype." http://www.kens5.com/news/Pit-bulls-in-S...66543.html "Bringing communities together and saving one 'Pit Bull' at a time!"
