About Pit Bull Happenings Rescue

Pit Bull Happenings Rescue (PBHR) was founded on October 15, 2010, by Eric Emminger. PBHR is an all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to helping people and dogs. We are a 501(c)(3) Not-for-Profit Organization which means your donations may be tax deductible. PBHR rescues dogs of various breeds from all sorts of bad situations, to name a few: animal cruelty, neglect, abandonment, strays/dogs at large, from Florida high-kill county shelters, etc. We primarily focus on the adult dogs as more often than not, they are forgotten about by society. "Everybody wants a cute puppy" then that cute puppy grows up and finds itself in a horrendous situation because their irresponsible owner no longer wants them. They deserve life just as much as the puppies do. They deserve a loving and caring permanent home... forever.

We were founded by Eric to encourage community involvement and participation. To encourage others to help our animals in need. Lord knows there are a lot of dogs needing help. We hold education paramount. Most people are calling 20+ different breeds of dogs a "Pit Bull". Truth be told, there is only one true Pit Bull dog and that dog breed is the American Pit Bull Terrier. We also educate on responsible dog ownership. We are able to help those who help us, help them. We have heard the people's cries for help. We are answering that call. Most rescue's only rescue dogs from the county-ran kill shelters, ignoring the cries and pleas for help. We believe we are taking a preemptive move in preventing that animal from landing in the high-kill shelters by getting to the root of the owner/dog relationship problem and finding a viable solution keeping the welfare of the animal in forethought as well as the safety of the people and the community.

We rely 100% from the general public and local businesses for our funding. We rely solely on the general public to find it in their hearts to not only help us out financially but also for volunteering. Without your support, our ability of helping out our communities people and animals alike... the work we do in rescue and saving lives, cannot move forward. We understand and recognize these are tough economic times for us all. Where there's a will, there's a way. We truly need and appreciate the community's support in help whether it's monetary and materialistic donations or a sacrifice of a few hours to volunteer. Any and all is respected and appreciated.

Eric is a man of God. He does not belong to any organized religious organization. He believes God is love... Love is charity. The love he has for God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is held paramount in his heart, mind, and soul. Eric is eager and willing to make sacrifices in order to help people and God's creatures. He believes Jesus Christ to be the Savior and Lord. He stands strong on that belief. He does not "force" his beliefs upon others, neither does he shy away from his personal beliefs in expressions. He believes in freedoms for all and his persons is not exempt. He welcomes all to help in any way, shape, or form regardless of age, race, beliefs, religions or no religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, opinions, cultural backgrounds, etc. When it comes to helping others including the animals, he believes everybody should be part of the solution and to offer helping hands to those in need including the animals. PBHR's door is open to everybody that has a good heart and who wants to help with the rescue work we perform for the greater of our community and all that lies within the community. The requirement is to have love within your heart. There is no room for evil or hatred in the work we do. Love comes from within. We focus on the positive and will promote and spread the positiveness for it's better to be positive rather than negative. With as sad and depressing as the "animal/rescue world" is... we believe we need to inject happiness and being positive into this world, as to make this a better world for all living beings upon the earth.

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, [so let him give]; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. ~2 Corinthians 9:7 (KJV)

We rely on FOSTER HOMES, VOLUNTEERS, DONORS, and SUPPORTERS!!!
We are the People's Rescue...

YOU are the fuel that fires up our engine! YOU are the ones responsible for saving lives!
