We'll then verify the application information and its accuracy.
We'll do the veterinarian and reference checks (and landlord check if renting) and also a background check.
We'll perform a thorough Home Inspection and in-person Interview
Pay the Adoption Donation Fee
You'll read and sign the Adoption Contract which outlines in detail, the terms of the Adoption agreement. You pay our Adoption Donation fee at the time of the signing.
If all goes well, you just saved a "Pit Bull"

Important: Please note that all of our Dogs available for Adoption have been fully vetted out! Which includes but not limited to being Spayed/Neutered, up-to-date on ALL Annual Vaccinations (including bordetella), current on the rabies shot, heartworm negative and current on heartworm preventative, and microchipped.
What is "Foster to Adopt"?
Any puppies that are in our Rescue will be available for Adoption at the earliest when they turn 16 weeks of age. It is our policy not to have them altered until they have reached at the earliest, 16 weeks of age. With that being said, we do have another option if you are determined on adopting one of our "not quite ready for Adoption Dogs/Puppies". Our "Foster to Adopt" may be a viable option. How does this work? Go ahead and fill out the Adoption Application (linked above) and email it back to us.
We will then go through the the process that is very similar to our stringent adoption process. Once we get to the contract, instead of signing our Adoption Contract, you'll sign the "Foster to Adopt Contract" This contract outlines the terms very clearly and also clearly states that our Rescue retains legal ownership of the Dog(s) listed on the contract!
Why would you opt for the "Foster to Adopt"? Well, could be a for variety of reasons... You might want to give our Dog a chance to adapt to the new living environment or maybe we have a dog currently going through some medical care that you have fallen in love with and really want to adopt but can't because our Rescue will only adopt out healthy, fully vetted dogs or maybe you have fallen in love with a puppy we may have and since we don't spay/neuter them until 16 weeks of age, we won't adopt them out. So, it really depends on the individual dog, the individual applicant, and varies case to case before we make any decision. The bottom line is, we will only adopt out a Dog/Puppy that is fully vetted and healthy, period. Therefore, we do offer "Foster to Adopt" pending on the individual dog.
