What is a "Pit Bull"?

There is only one true Pit Bull... the American Pit Bull Terrier. However, depending on who you ask, the term "Pit Bull" is generically referring to three breeds of dogs... the American Staffordshire Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Then you have others and more recently adding to the list to include the American Bully. We find by adding breeds to this term is only further confusing an already confused general public. The media, lawmakers, and other "experts" are adding even more breeds (6+) of dogs to the "Pit Bull" term, so when does it end? Of all the breeds out there, there is only ONE BREED with "Pit Bull" in their name, the American PIT BULL Terrier.
